Sarah Miller Wright

Worth knowing

She knows how to put operating structure around a company that is growing faster than its processes, from agile transformation inside a national telecom to global operations across a startup's Australian and European subsidiaries. She coaches founders on organizational design, leadership hiring and go-to-market, and she reads a boardroom from the inside.

Story

Sarah spent seven years at Shaw Communications, rising to SVP of Digital, Product and Service Delivery, where she moved the company to an agile framework and co-founded an employee resource group mentoring women, after earlier leadership roles at Virgin Mobile Canada and Bell. In 2020 she crossed into financial services as Chief Operations Officer for Manulife's Canadian business, sitting on both the global operations and Canada leadership teams with a mandate to rethink how customers move through the company's channels. She finished her Executive MBA at Ivey the same year. Venture work followed. As executive-in-residence at Inovia Capital she advised founders on operational excellence and organizational design, then took the president role at Victoria-based Certn in 2024.
