Constellation is a free public directory of Canadians and friends of Canada around the world. These are the few rules for having a page in it and for using it. By adding yourself or using the site you agree to them.

Your page

You may only create a page about yourself. Publish a page only if the name, photo and text on it are yours or you have the right to use them. What you publish should be true and not misleading; you are responsible for it, including anything you keep from the AI draft. You can edit, hide or remove your page at any time from your personal edit link, and we will honour a removal request sent from your email address.

By publishing, you give us permission to display your page publicly, include it in the directory, search and sitemap, and let search engines and AI assistants find it. That permission ends when you hide or remove your page, except for copies others have already made, which we do not control.

The AI draft

The first draft of your page is written by an AI model from public sources. It is a starting point and can be wrong or incomplete, which is why nothing is published until you have reviewed it. Please read it before you publish and fix anything that is off.

Using the directory

The directory exists so people can find and reach each other. You may search it, link to pages, and contact people through the links they chose to share. You may not use it to send bulk unsolicited messages, to build marketing lists, to impersonate anyone, or to harass people, and you may not try to obtain information that is not shown publicly, such as email addresses.

What we may do

We may remove or hide a page that is not about its author, that is misleading, that breaks these terms, or that we are legally required to remove, and we will tell the person at the email address on the page where we can. We may also change or shut down the service; if we ever close the directory, we will email everyone listed first.

No guarantees

The directory is offered as is, free of charge. We do not verify what people write about themselves beyond confirming the email address used to publish, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of any page or for what happens between people who meet through it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the site.
