Kumaran Nadesan co-founded 369 Global, the Canadian group behind Computek College and 3 Magazine, after nearly 15 years advising Ontario deputy ministers.
Worth knowing
He knows how decisions actually get made inside Canadian government, and he has spent years opening doors for Canadian businesses in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including on official Team Canada trade missions. He is equally at home on the India file. Founders looking for a first partner or distributor in those markets, or trying to read the policy weather in Ontario, should write.
Story
Kumaran arrived in Canada at 16, after a childhood spread across South Asia and the Middle East, and studied English and psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough. He joined the Ontario Public Service as a junior analyst and worked his way up to senior advisor to deputy ministers, across intergovernmental affairs, business development and stakeholder relations. He left government to lead Konnect Communications, then built 369 Global into a group spanning skills training, media and global market facilitation. He now runs its partnerships and market expansion abroad, and writes on where Canadian ambition falls short. He lives in Brampton with his wife and two children.
