Yousuf Afridi leads product management and strategic design at PwC Canada, having come to consulting by way of advertising, where he was second-in-command on Taxi's Koodo Mobile account.
Story
Yousuf studied at a British school in Dubai and immigrated to Canada, where he started a creative business at fifteen and taught himself design. Before agency life he worked as a freelance web designer, a fashion show photography director, a racetrack videographer, an international business broker and a business development consultant. Advertising came next, first an internship at Saatchi & Saatchi and then account direction at Taxi. He moved to PwC Canada as a management consultant, then into product, rising from Group Product Manager to head of the practice. He credits Matt Shoom-Kirsch of Taxi and Karl Thomson of Compass360 with shaping how he works, and now spends part of his time doing the same for others.
