Anastasia Artemova co-founded MavenMind to get newcomers into Canadian tech jobs, and hosts Make That Change, the YouTube channel she grew to nearly 60,000 subscribers.
Worth knowing
She has built product and growth teams at startups that together raised $200M across HRTech, FinTech and Future of Work, and she knows how to reach Canada's newcomer audience directly because she built the channel that serves it. Founders hiring or selling to immigrant professionals, and early-stage teams moving to self-serve product and go-to-market, should get in touch.
Story
Anastasia emigrated from Russia and studied Business Technology Management at Concordia, then spent years as a product manager in Toronto, leading market discovery for an experimental platform at Unity Technologies and owning an employee data product at Achievers, with product work at Delphia Technologies along the way. In 2020 she met Anna Antropova in Canada, and what began as a hobby, filming videos about arriving and thriving here, turned into a media business, a Substack, and eventually a company. She now runs MavenMind with Anna and Yuliya Slavnova, coaching newcomers into tech careers, and has advised early-stage teams including Boundless Life, where she was Head of Growth, and Ubico.
