He knows what it takes to fill a shift at a long-term care home at short notice: vetting and supply on one side, hospitals, retirement homes and home care buyers on the other, in a regulated market where trust decides the sale. He has also steered a marketplace through a full change of vertical without losing the business underneath it.

Story

Peter started out in networks, studying Computer Programming at Sheridan College and then working in network architecture and engineering at Bell, with a security architect's habit of thinking about who gets access to what. He has run product at Staffy himself for more than ten years, and today the company places nurses, personal support workers, laboratory technologists and medical diagnostic professionals with facilities across North America, from a Toronto head office that is Canadian owned and operated.

I'm the founder and CEO of Staffy, a healthcare and hospitality staffing marketplace in Toronto. I started it in 2015 in hospitality staffing and moved into healthcare in 2020. About 20,000 vetted workers now take shifts with long-term care, retirement homes, hospitals and home care providers across Canada. I'm a former security architect, with a Computer Programming degree from Sheridan College and culinary training from George Brown. I have run product at Staffy for over ten years.
