Mitch Debora

Mitch Debora

Co-Founder & CEO · Mosaic Manufacturing

Toronto, Canada

Mitch Debora leads Mosaic Manufacturing, the Toronto company whose Array systems turn clusters of 3D printers into automated factories, and which has shipped more than 15,000 units.

Worth knowing

He has taken hardware from prototype to volume production and raised the capital to do it, most recently a $28 million round to push additive manufacturing into real factory use. He knows what onshoring and nearshoring actually require, from machine reliability to material handling. Founders building physical products in Canada, and manufacturers weighing shorter supply chains, should get in touch.

Story

Mitch trained as a materials engineer at Queen's University, where a summer job introduced him to 3D printing. In 2012 he started a company in Kingston, Ontario to give people there local access to the technology. Two years later he and two fellow Queen's graduates founded Mosaic, building it first out of Montreal through FounderFuel and Notman House before moving to Toronto. The company now sells the Array line, launched in early 2023, which pairs four Element HT printers with a robotic build-plate system and Palette X material handling so parts can be produced without someone standing over the machines.
