Katie came to recruiting after twelve years advising Fortune 500 clients, so she reads a hiring problem as a business problem first, and she has been placing digital and technology people in Toronto since 2006. She has the network for a first senior hire at a seed-stage company and for a whole digital team at a large one.

Story

Katie studied mathematics and anthropology at McGill, then went into litigation consulting, writing expert testimony for multi-million dollar proceedings. Management consulting followed, at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and then LECG, with Fortune 500 work in the United States and South Africa, and a stretch running the strategy department at internet consultancy Agency.com during the first dotcom boom. She turned to executive search in 2006 as VP Digital at Toronto's IQ Partners, then set up her own practice. Found People, which she co-founded with Jack Ponte, now works out of Eglinton Avenue East placing technology, e-commerce, health tech and fintech talent. She is a public sceptic of AI-written resumes and cover letters, and says so to job seekers.
