Kareem Ayyad builds AI "teammates" that take on whole business functions at Teammates.ai, the Dubai company he grew out of Uktob.ai after a 2025 funding round.

He has taken an Arabic-language AI assistant from zero to 250,000 registered users and 100,000 monthly actives, and he knows how AI products get bought across Canada, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. He has also built hardware, shipping a wearable brain-computer interface out of Ontario. Worth writing to if you are taking a Canadian AI product into the Gulf, or hiring for it.
Story
A law degree and the King's Academy class of 2012 are an unusual start for a neurotech founder. Kareem spent 15 years in software and AI instead, and in 2018 founded Cerebian in Ontario, where he built BrainOS, an operating system that let incapacitated patients control electronic devices with their brainwaves. He left hardware for AI assistants in 2023, co-founding Uktob.ai and its assistant Faheem. That company became Teammates.ai in 2025, and alongside Raya he has since launched a second AI teammate built for inside sales.
