A New York transplant to Toronto I have been in consumer tech for 20+ years. Currently at fintech company Propel Holdings previously president of Wattpad and worked at Yahoo Accenture and a few fun startups. I have an MBA from Harvard econ degree from Cornell and serve on some great boards.
Work and impact
Lam spent roughly eight years at Wattpad, serving as chief business officer before being named the Toronto company's first-ever president in September 2021 and taking over day-to-day leadership in May 2022 when founding CEO Allen Lau moved to an advisory role following Wattpad's acquisition by South Korea's Naver; she departed at the end of 2022. She now leads growth and global marketing at Propel Holdings, a publicly traded Canadian fintech building an AI-powered online lending platform focused on credit inclusion. She is a founding board member of the Coalition of Innovation Leaders Against Racism (CILAR) and has served as an advisor to organizations including the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, RxFood and GlobalComix, and as a board member of StoryTap. She is also an executive member of Canadian Club Toronto and a frequent speaker on scaling high-growth consumer tech businesses.
