Dom Perri

Worth knowing

Dom knows what a cybersecurity company is worth and who will buy it, having advised founders into sales to Cisco, Barracuda and Workday and served as exclusive advisor on Aiceberg's sale to Cranium AI. He has also sat on the investor side of the table, backing early-stage security, AI and infrastructure software.

Story

Dom finished a business diploma at Sheridan College's Pilon School of Business in Oakville in 1997 and turned it into a decade inside Juniper Networks, where he spent ten years with the company's venture capital arm. Corporate and business development roles at Dropbox, Tesla and Internet Security Systems followed, giving him a view of how large acquirers actually decide. He moved to investing as a partner at Vertex Ventures US, writing early-stage cheques into cybersecurity, AI and infrastructure software, then launched Altitude Cyber in 2024 with Dino Boukouris. He now splits his time between Santa Monica and San Francisco, publishes on where security M&A is heading, and spoke at RSAC on how AI-native startups are following the paths Wiz and CrowdStrike cut.
