Ben Goldberg

Worth knowing

He has sat on every side of Canadian health technology: inside the Ontario government, in a global consulting practice spanning hospitals, public laboratories, community care and private industry, and now across the table from provincial health leaders. He knows how care-model and AI investment decisions actually get made and who makes them.

Story

Ben started in Toronto with a commerce degree from Ryerson and built a career in health IT delivery through eHealth Ontario, the Ontario Government and Judo Solutions, including the adoption and implementation of the Ontario Laboratories Information System from 2010. At CGI he rose from Director of Consulting Services to Global Industry Lead for Health and Life Sciences, working with teams around the world and writing on AI in the sector. Partway through, he went back to school and finished an Ivey MBA in 2023. Since 2024 he has been at Kainos, where he writes on Canadian health system costs and where technology investment should go, and he works with the Davis Pier Consulting team on health system transformation.
