Ashley Ramsay

Executive Vice President Partnerships · Yeti Farm Creative (co-founder and CEO until the studio's 2024 sale)

Kelowna, Canada

Ashley Ramsay built Yeti Farm Creative from a Kelowna basement into a 175-person animation studio behind Star Trek: Lower Decks and Hotel Transylvania: The Series.

Worth knowing

She has done the hard version of scaling a creative company: hiring and keeping 175 producers and animators in a mid-sized BC city, winning work from major studios, launching an original preschool series that found millions of viewers on YouTube, and selling the business. She also sits inside BC's innovation and small business policy rooms.

Story

Ashley and Todd Ramsay launched Yeti Farm Creative out of their basement in Kelowna around 2013 with five people. Over the next eight years it became a 175-person studio animating Pete the Cat, Max and Ruby and work for the biggest names in the business, while she pushed the company into original digital-first content with Sweet Tweets, which reached a third season. She left the business in 2023, ahead of its relaunch as Artists Animation Studio under producer Rick Mischel. Since then she has stayed close to the Okanagan she built in, through provincial board work, a run for office in Kelowna-Mission, Rotary and the Central Okanagan Food Bank, and roles with Westbank First Nation and Okanagan College.
