Andrew Lindsay
Corporate Vice President, Cloud and AI Platforms Business Development · Microsoft
Andrew Lindsay leads Microsoft's global partnerships across AI, data platforms, cloud infrastructure and quantum computing, and sits on the board of Asana.
Worth knowing
He has spent his career on the deal side of technology, running M&A, venture investments and strategic alliances at HubSpot and Jawbone before taking on Microsoft's largest AI and cloud partnerships. Few people can explain as precisely how a company becomes a platform partner rather than a vendor.
Story
Andrew studied biology at Howard University, then added a law degree and an MBA at Harvard before starting out in M&A investment banking at Merrill Lynch and consulting at McKinsey. He founded and ran Crescamus, then spent six years in strategy and corporate development at Jawbone as wearables went mainstream. In 2018 he joined HubSpot's executive leadership team, and in 2022 moved to Microsoft, where he now runs business development for Cloud and AI Platforms. Alongside the day job, he chaired TechSF, the City of San Francisco's technology workforce development initiative, for a decade, and helped start Howard University's Center for Digital Business.
In Andrew's words
Born and raised in Toronto, and then moved to the US for college and stayed. I'm now leading AI and cloud partnerships for Microsoft.
