Louise Lambert
Head of Happiness Programming & Policy Design · HappinessMatters.org
Louise Lambert is a Canadian registered psychologist in the UAE who founded the Middle East Journal of Positive Psychology and designs happiness programs for governments, schools and employers.
Worth knowing
She has designed, delivered and measured wellbeing programs across the Gulf, from Dubai College classrooms to KAUST in Saudi Arabia to Kuwait's Al Nowair Foundation, and she has done the same work with the Canadian Embassy in the UAE and with Cigna. Twenty years in the region means she knows which ministries, schools and employers take this seriously.
Story
Louise studied psychology in Alberta, at Grande Prairie Regional College and Athabasca University and then the University of Calgary, and built an early positive health program with the Red Deer Primary Care Network. She moved to the UAE in 2003 and stayed, teaching at Canadian University Dubai and consulting to organizations and schools across the region. Her Happiness 101 course, a seven-week program covered by The National, grew into an online happiness and wellbeing course for young adults that now runs in Jordan and Egypt as well as the UAE. Today she leads happiness programming and policy design at HappinessMatters.org.
