Work and impact
Robinson is a postdoctoral scientist in Jonathan Göke's Computational Transcriptomics Lab at A*STAR's Genome Institute of Singapore, where the group develops computational methods for long-read RNA sequencing and transcriptome analysis. She represented the lab at the 2nd Workshop of the Human RNome Project Consortium in Toronto, an international effort to map RNA modifications across the human transcriptome. She also helps organise the Genome Institute of Singapore's RNA Salon, a seminar and networking series giving early-career RNA researchers a platform to present their work. Her earlier research, during her PhD at Imperial College London, focused on bacterial synthetic biology and genetic engineering, the gut microbiome and inflammation, and she has contributed to open-source research software for lab data processing.
